Tips To Stay Healthy And Fit In Winters

Winters can have an adverse effect on your health if you do not follow a nutritious diet along with a balanced lifestyle.  With shorter days and cold weather, it can be difficult in finding ways to stay healthy and fit. And this can lead to a weakened immune system.

Here are some winter wellness tips and ideas that will keep you healthy, fit this winter season:

1) Exercise regularly

Maintain a proper diet and exercise routine, this will help you keep away from illness. If you don’t get enough time for exercise, make sure you do little jogging or go for a walk in the parks daily to keep yourself fit.

2) Eat more fruits and vegetables

In winters many of us get easily tempted by unhealthy street food. It is important that you should have a healthy diet, So remember to include a good amount of fruits and vegetables daily in your diet. Winter vegetables like carrots, peas and spinach tend to be very healthy and can be cooked in a variety of ways. Also, you can eat varieties of fruits that are available in the market.

3) Drink Tulsi Tea

You can also drink tulsi tea, as it has a good amount of antioxidants and other nutrients.  In winters, generally people get caught by cold and flu and drinking tulsi tea can help in enhancing their immune system to fight the viruses.

4) Consume oil-rich foods

Oil-rich foods especially the walnuts and almonds, olive oil, ghee, and green leafy vegetables contain omega 3’s and which helps in purifying the skin and liver. So consider adding these in your daily diet.

5) Coconut oil For Skin

During winters another problem that people face is skin dryness caused by chilly breeze and dehydration in winter months. Coconut oil with its anti-microbial properties, the skin remains healthy and nourished throughout the winters.

6) Drink lots of water

You should ensure that you drink plenty of water every day to keep your body hydrated. But it is better to drink lukewarm water instead of cold or normal water.
